Why?!!

Can anyone tell me, why is it so hard to eat well? This week has been an awful one thus far, I have not been working out and I have been eating CRAP not so well.

Yesterday I took my girls to the movie theater and I ate popcorn (tasted like high calorie cardboard) and starbursts...WTH is going on?

Starting today, it will be better, I will be better, because I have to be.

Question: How have you been doing so far this week?

  1. I know its hard to not beat yourself over eating bad, and you are wanting the weight off ASAP but what I have learned after years of doing this, is baby steps and it is extremely hard to except but you can't just change so much so quickly and not frustrate yourself and your body. The only way it has worked for me and for myself not to get so frustrated and then binge is baby steps especially when food is such an emotional eating habit for me! I know it helps people, but one thing I found was watching my calories so close would often cause me to get frustrated and binge. When it comes down to whats best for you, you are the only one that can choose that I am just giving my 2 sense I guess. :-) You are strong and you can do this!! And as Dr Oz said on a show I was flipping through channels one day was in order to successful in a diet or lifestyle change you got to cheat every so often, but cheat right!! :-)

    1. Thank you for the uplifting words. I am a pretty impatient person so waiting is hard for me :/ I think a little cheat is fine too ;)

  4. It can be difficult. But believe it or now, popcorn is a better alternative than chips. =)

  6. Hey girl! I have to bring my own snacks to the movie theatre or else I will eat myself sick with popcorn and soda. I pop my own popcorn plain and then use a squirt of their butter so I get that slight taste of sinful buttery-ness, but I don't over do it. But its ok to splurge once in a while! Just park extra far when you run errands..its the small bits of exercise that really helps!

    1. That's a good idea! I find that my biggest issue is just having something going into my mouth, so it really could be baby carrots and celery. I have actually started doing that with the parking and I know now that every step counts!
