What Were You Doing?

What were you doing on this day 11 years ago? I was getting ready for school, I remember wearing my cheer leading uniform because we had a game that night. I saw the news and it was unbelievable, I felt shock, hurt, scared, hopelessness. I walked around that day in a complete daze, the sky seemed dark and hazy, everything seemed different.

As we remember what happened on September 11th, 2001 let's especially remember the people who suffered a great loss that day. Please take a moment to send a prayer or a comforting thought their way, and if you lost someone I will do the same for you. I cannot imagine the hurt that you still feel everyday, but especially today.

Question of the Day: Will you take a moment to remember all who were lost on this day 11 years ago?

  1. I was in my high school spanish room presenting the recipe I made. Our headmaster walked in and said he needed our tv. He flipped to a news channel that was playing live coverage - right before the second plane hit. I didn't even know what the World Trade Center was before that day. God bless everyone who was personally affected by the tragedy that day <3

    1. We watched it all day long in every class, no one barely said a word.

    2. I remember eatching the news at school too and how quite it was. I also remember our teachers trying there best to say comforting things to us. After moving to NY the feelings of sadness on this day are so much stronger. standing next to the world trade center you really get the visualization of what it must have been like, people running down the streets in fear for their lives and those around them, that moment is very humbling.

  2. I slept through it. The Hubs tried to tell me about it and I had no idea what he was talking about, rolled over, and went back to sleep. It wasn't until I was driving to one of my college classes that my mom called me, in tears. I went to school to find classes canceled. I went to my moms house and watched the life changing news from across the country. At that time, I was not a parent. It didn't cross my mind until years later that my children would be growing up in a completely different world than I did...
I'll never forget. They'll never know any different. Sad.
