Family and The Home: Part 4

My little ones are very important to me, but lets be real I am home all day with them, often never leaving the house except to do school drop-off or pick-ups and it can be exhausting. But I am so grateful for it, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Sometimes I get Facebook envy, where looking at someones social media

When you look at someone's life from the outside, it can seem as though they "have it all", but when we start to focus on what we don't have, we find ourselves in trouble. I think one of the most important lessons we can teach our children in the home is to not judge others, but more importantly is to love one another.
I think sometimes when we judge someone, the thing we find fault in them for is found somewhere inside of us and we don't like it.

This reminds me of a good scripture found in Matthew 7:3-5

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

We should take care of our own issues, before we worry about someone else's. The time we take away from our homes and families while we are worried about other peoples lives is a disservice to them.

Question of the Day: Do you agree or disagree?
